Frank Robledano
Managing Editor
Frank is and always has been a word-nerd. He’s paid to dot the “I”s and cross the “T”s on all of WebPac’s content-related projects, predominantly on the WEBpackaging website, where his primary role is to gather press releases, product descriptions or often mere photographs in order to cobble together compelling articles for packaging professionals.
With over 25 years of writing experience (his first real job was working at a local library in his native Canada, where he was put in charge of the branch’s official newsletter at 15), Frank’s biggest talent is being able to find the best way to communicate a specific message, whether it be related to packaging or any of the other myriad topics in which he’s an expert. He is obviously a humble and quiet sort, though slightly psychotic (the meds are helping).
In his murky past, he has worked: at a variety of technology companies as a content professional; as a professional actor and director; translating works of literature, scripts and (of course) marketing copy; as a voiceover and dubbing personality for film, TV and documentaries; out of his car with a laptop; as a teacher of the English language and as a language coach; with various theatre companies, as a specialist in Shakespearean text or English literary history and theory; planting trees, picking tobacco, diving, repossessing automobiles, and giving etiquette lessons
In his spare time, he enjoys reading, composing sonnets, writing short fiction, martial arts, travelling, killing virtual enemies, racquet sports, reading comic books, fencing, reviewing films, ocean kayaking, haute cuisine, and tasting scotch, though most of these hobbies receive little or no attention due to the utter and completely welcome distraction posed by his daughter, Helena.
